I have been an athlete all of my life and have worked in the health and fitness industry for more than 20 years. My professional practice has grown, shifted and evolved over time, just as I have personally. As I navigate my late 40’s, I realize I am re-defining health and fitness for myself, and I am offering this perspective shift to you.
On a broader scale, I like to help people develop Functional Health, which means being able to live your life physically, mentally and emotionally how YOU wish to do it. This is your ride after all. We each have our own history, goals and challenges, and sometimes we need support in getting past a tricky spot or just finding a new route entirely — and that’s where I come in.
I offer a variety of services to support you in gaining physical fitness and strength using personal training, corrective exercise or yoga — and in cultivating mind ‘fitness’ or stress resilience using mindfulness meditation and integrative health coaching.
- If you want to be stronger, leaner, move out of pain and/or tackle a specific physical goal, we begin with personal training, corrective exercise training or yoga.
- If your thoughts or emotions are getting in the way of you enjoying your life or accomplishing a goal, we begin with integrative health coaching or mindfulness meditation.
- If you appreciate how they are all linked, we jump in with a hybrid session that addresses movement, meditation and/or coaching — all with the intention of optimizing your functional health!
Like any adventure guide, I have various skills and experiences tucked in my backpack to help us best navigate this journey into awareness together. The trail we travel depends on you, but each one leads to the same place: greater mind/body health, happiness and ease.
